Trama:



(ITA)Giappone, base dell'US Air Force. La guerra col Vietnam è imminente. La tensione è alta. E, come se
non bastasse, i militari hanno scoperto che una nuova minaccia si è infiltrata tra di loro: i vampiri! La squadra
speciale creata per fronteggiare questi casi decide di inviare nella base Saya, misteriosa ragazzina che è in
realtà, l'ultimo vero vampiro rimasto sulla terra! Questo è il primo film d'animazione realizzato con le
tecniche tradizionali ma gestite interamente in digitale. Il risultato è un anime spettacolare sotto ogni aspetto
ma che brilla soprattutto per un'animazione e un character design ancora oggi insuperati. Del resto a creare questo
piccolo gioiello è stata la Production I.G, lo studio responsabile tanto dei film di “Ghost In The
Shell” quanto della serie animata “Stand Alone Complex”, ma anche dell'animazione nel “Kill Bill
vol.1” del genio Quentin Tarantino! Con l'aiuto del famoso regista Mamoru Oshii, e della sua squadra di autori
raccolta nell'omonimo Team Oshii, lo studio realizza un'opera presentata per la prima volta in Italia in un DVD
impreziosito da un lungo making of che mostra le varie fasi della produzione.
